Summary

A patch for one regression: hookdeck login could not complete in v3.0.0. The browser opened,
you signed in, and the CLI stopped before it collected the key.

If you are already signed in, v3.0.0 was unaffected — this only bit a fresh sign-in.

Fixes

  • hookdeck login no longer fails after the browser opens. v3.0.0 added a guard that checks
    every request path against the versioned API prefix, and applied it to the poll URL the API itself
    returns from POST /cli-auth — which is not versioned. So the CLI refused to call the address the
    server had just given it, and sign-in ended at:

    request path rejected: "/cli-auth/poll" does not address the /2026-09-01 API

    The guard still applies, because that URL comes from the network; it is now pinned to the path the
    server supplied rather than to a fixed prefix.

    hookdeck ci, hookdeck login --cli-key and hookdeck login --interactive were never affected.
