QuickSnapAudio v1.0.8
QuickSnapAudio v1.0.8
Downloads
- Windows: Download
QuickSnapAudio-Setup.exeand run the installer - Linux (Debian/Ubuntu): Download the
.debfile and install withsudo dpkg -i quicksnapaudio_*.deb
What's New in v1.0.8
- Fixed device switching on Linux — switching back to a previously selected output/input now actually redirects audio. Previously only the default device was updated, so already-playing streams stayed on the old device and switching appeared to do nothing. Existing playback and capture streams are now moved to the newly selected device immediately.
- More robust switching — added a safety timeout so a stalled PulseAudio connection can no longer hang the UI during a device switch.
- Dependencies & security — refreshed CI build/runtime dependencies and verified the hardened auto-updater (HTTPS + GitHub host allowlist).
Previous Highlights (v1.0.7)
- UAC manifest for clean elevation, plus reliability and UX improvements.
Previous Highlights (v1.0.6)
- Hold-to-disconnect for Bluetooth / wireless devices, refreshed card-based UI, custom-painted window controls, and a hardened auto-updater.

.debfile and install withsudo dpkg -i quicksnapaudio_*.deb
What's New in v1.0.6
- Hold-to-disconnect for Bluetooth / wireless devices — holding a device's hotkey for 1.2s disconnects the paired Bluetooth audio device; holding it again reconnects it. Wireless detection is automatic from the device name and shown as
· BTin the device picker. - Refreshed, more cohesive UI — modern card-based layout, refined typography, consistent input styling, custom-rounded scrollbars, and a tighter colour palette across all 7 themes.
- Cohesive window controls — minimize / maximize / close buttons are now custom-painted to share an identical icon language regardless of system fonts; the maximize glyph switches to a restore icon when the window is maximized.
- Hardened auto-updater — the update download is now restricted to GitHub-controlled hosts over HTTPS as a defence-in-depth measure against tampered API responses.
Previous Highlights (v1.0.5)
- Toggle mute on repeat hotkey, sleek dark custom title bar, window opens on launch, installer prompts for desktop shortcut, optional "Run app now" on install

What's New in v1.0.5
- Toggle mute on repeat hotkey — pressing the same hotkey twice mutes the active device, a third press unmutes; pressing a different hotkey switches devices as before
- Sleek dark custom title bar — frameless window with a smooth dark title bar (minimize / maximize / close) independent of system theme
- Window opens on launch — the configuration window is shown at startup so you know the app started; closing or minimizing sends it back to the system tray
- Installer prompts for desktop shortcut — opt in or out during install
