Getting started

This page repeats the install and first-use steps from the README. The README is the full guide and is always the most current.

Install

Add it to your Gemfile:

gem "hotkv"

or install it directly:

gem install hotkv

Requires Ruby 3.0 or newer. Built and verified against HotKV server v0.3.0 (see Compatibility).

Quick start

require "hotkv"

client = HotKV::Client.new(url: "hotkv://localhost:6379")

client.set("greeting", "hello")
client.get("greeting") # => "hello"

client.close
