Site Manager 1.0.0 is the first stable release: an admin-only MCP server that lets Claude, or any MCP client, manage an entire WordPress site in conversation. It also keeps a full audit trail and emails branded monthly reports to your clients.

✨ Highlights

  • 209 MCP tools in 22 groups. Content of every post type, custom fields, taxonomies, media, users and roles, comments, settings, menus, themes, plugins and core updates, maintenance and developer tools. See the tool reference.
  • Plugin integrations. ACF, Yoast SEO, WooCommerce, Gravity Forms, WPForms, Contact Form 7 (with Flamingo), Redirection and Elementor. Each one turns on only when its plugin is active.
  • Activity log. Records every action WordPress can detect, by anyone: logins and failed logins, user and role changes, updates with old β†’ new versions, content, settings, file edits, exports and MCP activity. Filter it, export CSV, or ask Claude for a report. See the event catalog.
  • Branded client reports. A monthly PDF with your title, agency name, logo and colors, emailed automatically to any recipients.
  • Secure by default. Administrators only, OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, per-request capability checks, and dangerous capabilities (database writes, file writes, PHP execution) off by default.

πŸ†• New in 1.0.0

  • Automatic updates from GitHub releases. Site Manager now updates like a plugin from WordPress.org:
    • New releases appear on the Plugins screen and can be applied in bulk, by WordPress auto-updates, or with WP-CLI (wp plugin update site-manager).
    • It checks every 12 hours, or right away with Check for updates on the Plugins screen.
  • Release safety. Only the site-manager-<version>.zip attached to a release is ever installed, so updates always carry the update checker with them.
  • Build and CI. build.sh verifies that every version number matches, and a GitHub Actions workflow runs PHP 7.4 and 8.4 syntax checks on every push.
