A context scope can carry its own standing input threshold, so a long-lived agent runs wider than the proxy default without re-arming a reservation.

Changes

  • gobstopper context create --threshold <tokens> sets a standing threshold for the scope. Scoped requests compact at it instead of --threshold or --threshold-1m, clipped to the declared input capacity; a live reservation still takes priority, and release returns to the scope's threshold. context status reports it as scope_threshold_tokens and the limiting reason as scope_threshold. Existing context stores gain the column on first open.

Install

On macOS (Apple silicon) or Linux (x86_64 or arm64):

curl -fsSL https://gobstopper.sh/install.sh | GOBSTOPPER_VERSION=0.8.5 sh

On Windows (x86_64), in PowerShell:

$env:GOBSTOPPER_VERSION = "0.8.5"; irm https://gobstopper.sh/install.ps1 | iex

Each installer downloads the archive for your platform from this release, checks it against its .sha256 file, and installs gobstopper for your user only: ~/.local/bin on macOS and Linux, %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\gobstopper\bin on Windows. Nothing runs as root or administrator.

On other platforms, build this version from source with Cargo:

cargo install --git https://github.com/hraness/gobstopper --tag v0.8.5 --locked gobstopper
