gobstopper usage shows your token use across coding agents, from aicharts' daily record on your computer.

Changes

  • gobstopper usage reports token use by day, agent, provider and model for every agent aicharts can read, including agents that never pass through the proxy. report (the default), status, enable, disable and collect run the matching aicharts history command; anything else is refused, so it never enrolls, publishes or uploads. It runs before Gobstopper's configuration and update check, and finds aicharts through GOBSTOPPER_AICHARTS, your PATH or ~/.local/bin.
  • curl -fsSL https://gobstopper.sh/install.sh | sh also installs aicharts on macOS (Apple silicon) and Linux x86_64, checked against a pinned digest and, on macOS, its Developer ID signature, and turns on local usage history on a first install. GOBSTOPPER_AICHARTS=no skips it and GOBSTOPPER_USAGE_HISTORY=no leaves history off.

Install

On macOS (Apple silicon) or Linux (x86_64 or arm64):

curl -fsSL https://gobstopper.sh/install.sh | GOBSTOPPER_VERSION=0.8.6 sh

On Windows (x86_64), in PowerShell:

$env:GOBSTOPPER_VERSION = "0.8.6"; irm https://gobstopper.sh/install.ps1 | iex

Each installer downloads the archive for your platform from this release, checks it against its .sha256 file, and installs gobstopper for your user only: ~/.local/bin on macOS and Linux, %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\gobstopper\bin on Windows. Nothing runs as root or administrator.

On other platforms, build this version from source with Cargo:

cargo install --git https://github.com/hraness/gobstopper --tag v0.8.6 --locked gobstopper
