Release 0.20.8: saved analytics preferences in the footer (accept/decline control in normal flow after social links); retains geo-gated consent behavior.

SiteFooter 0.20.7

@0thernet 0thernet released this 01 Oct 17:47
Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.

Saved analytics preferences now sit in the footer after its social links. The initial cookie notice remains in the corner, and apps using standalone consent can choose normal-flow placement with placement="flow".

  • Restore a visible keyboard focus target when dismissing the initial notice without jumping to an offscreen footer.
  • Keep static and React rendering aligned through shared compiled styles.
  • Preserve readable, reachable controls at enlarged text sizes and short viewport heights.

Install the attached package archive for version 0.20.7. Its SHA-256 checksum is included alongside it.

Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.

The support link now keeps its full target size beside signup and account controls when text is enlarged. Long signup labels stay within their own control and retain their full accessible name.

Verified across compact and wide layouts, including 200% text size, through the shared footer's isolated browser suite. Includes regenerated JavaScript, CSS, type declarations, and StyleX metadata.

@0thernet 0thernet released this 30 Sep 23:41
Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.
ceb7052

The compact consent notice now keeps Analytics preferences available after acceptance or refusal. Visitors can reopen the panel and change their choice at any time, including when browser storage cannot be written. The accessible question control and footer clearance work across mobile and desktop sizes, and the panel scrolls within short viewports.

Verified source: ceb7052 (PR #79). Required CI, independent review, package admission and pinned Chrome for Testing 151.0.7922.71 browser verification passed. The tarball and SHA-256 checksum are the canonical immutable distribution artifacts.

Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.

Expose HranessCookieConsent for focused app routes that omit the site footer. The shared compact notice retains regional consent, an accessible question-mark explanation, persistent acceptance and cleanup without adding a footer landmark or studio links.

Validation:130 tests, deterministic generated artifacts across two roots, packed package types/SSR/CSS smoke, and the real-source Chrome for Testing151.0.7922.71 browser verifier passed. Compact and wide screenshots were inspected; notice geometry clears footer controls, and browser/server cleanup passed. The integration owner independently reviewed the exact candidate.

Canonical package: hraness-site-footer-0.20.4.tgz (SHA-256 8ef7b9a19083ffbf002543af5125bb435af5aecafec1ff8f8a66988244b08ac8).

v0.20.3 — Shared static cookie consent

@0thernet 0thernet released this 30 Sep 21:12
Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.
5a9f60d

Static sites rendered a dormant cookie notice without the React adapter's consent lifecycle. Export @hraness/site-footer/consent so static and React footers share regional visibility, storage changes, acceptance, dynamic geometry and cleanup; publish the addition as0.20.3. The compact notice uses the accessible question-mark link and clears footer controls.

Validation: bun run check passed (127 tests, deterministic StyleX artifacts, packed consumer); nine static consent behavior cases passed. The repository's real-source browser verifier passed compact/wide notice, signup and account scenarios using Chrome for Testing151.0.7922.71; browser and server cleanup passed. Compact and wide screenshots were visually inspected. Independently reviewed by the integration owner.

Site Footer v0.20.2

@0thernet 0thernet released this 30 Sep 20:01
Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.
35b1b46

The cookie notice now uses a named question-mark disclosure and a smaller pill with space above footer controls. Links, signup, support, and account actions stay unobscured in wide and stacked layouts. Acceptance removes the reserved space, including after reload.

The notice explains analytics. React fails closed on malformed region responses and emits the shared acceptance event even when browser storage is unavailable. Native disclosure, accessible labels, and forced-color behavior are preserved.

Validation on c823c91: bun run check passed (118 tests, StyleX artifact inventory, absolute-root determinism, packed consumer smoke); full bun run verify:browser passed at 320/390/760/1280px, including consent acceptance and reload, interaction/focus checks, and owned-browser/server cleanup. Desktop/mobile screenshots reviewed. Independent source review, Required CI, and CodeQL passed. Merged as35b1b46ace795d45dd629da2217cb5a9982ed0aa.

v0.20.1

@0thernet 0thernet released this 29 Sep 02:28
Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.
60d6ba5

The shared footer’s Ra icon now uses metallic paint consistent with product headers and footers. Its original inline vector remains the fallback in forced colors and browsers without mask support. The silhouette, fixed size, accessible home link, and attribution text are preserved.

The static and React renderers share the same markup. Browser and package checks allow foil only on the decorative mark while preserving plain account-link behavior. Includes the v0.20.1 patch bump and checked generated artifacts.

Validation on final feb30a8: bun run check passed (116 tests, artifact inventory, absolute-root determinism, packed consumer smoke); complete bun run verify:browser passed; CodeQL passed. Independent source review passed. An additional browser probe decoded the SVG mask in light/dark modes and verified the inline-vector forced-color fallback.

@0thernet 0thernet released this 27 Sep 19:50
Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.

The footer now sits in normal document flow at the end of the page instead of a bar fixed to the bottom of the window, so it no longer covers page content. On phones, a footer with a signup, account, or support control stacks the "by Hraness" link, those controls, and one row of social links, with 44px touch targets. Wide screens keep one row.

Where cookie consent applies, the note is a small notice in the bottom corner of the window that never spans its width and goes away when accepted. At the end of the page the footer leaves room below its links so the note never covers them. Consent behavior, storage, and the no-JavaScript default are unchanged.

The placement prop is deprecated and has no effect. Set --hraness-site-footer-measure on the footer to line its content up with the page column.

To upgrade, pin github:hraness/site-footer#v0.20.0. Remove any bottom padding or spacer added for the old fixed bar, and any overrides written for it, such as translucent backgrounds, backdrop-filter, or upward shadows on .hraness-site-footer__inner. To keep the footer at the bottom of the window on a short page, use a full-height column layout.
