xcb now runs Codex CLI 0.159.0, so Codex accounts take tasks again on
machines that upgraded Codex, and subscription rotation at usage limits
covers all three providers.
xcb now runs Codex CLI 0.159.0.
Changes
- Codex CLI 0.159.0 on macOS ARM64 passes the executable, tool, configuration,
and sandbox checks, soxcb doctorno longer reports it as a build xcb can't
run. The previous supported builds, 0.158.0, 0.157.1, and 0.156.1, remain
supported. - When Codex ends a turn because its own review step refused the turn's
actions too many times, xcb records a policy failure. It does not count the
failure against the account's usage limit, and it does not move the task to
another account.
Install
Install the native xcb binary from this release. The installer downloads the archive for your platform, checks it against its .sha256 file, and installs ~/.local/bin/xcb:
git clone --depth 1 --branch v0.13.1 https://github.com/hraness/xcb.git xcb
cd xcb && XCB_VERSION=0.13.1 ./scripts/install-native.shOn Windows x86_64, this installs xcb.exe from the release's .zip into %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\xcb\bin. It is not code-signed, and Claude Code, Codex, and Devin run only in the Linux build inside WSL2:
$env:XCB_VERSION = '0.13.1'; irm https://raw.githubusercontent.com/hraness/xcb/v0.13.1/scripts/install.ps1 | iexInstall the TypeScript SDK and xcb-compat CLI from the release tarball:
