• An upgrade started with a read-only RouterOS account now says so. The device refused the install with not enough permissions, mikr took that for an accepted command, waited for a reboot that never came and reported Upgrade did not take effect — pointing at the device instead of at the account.
• Devices whose RouterOS account has no write permission are refused before the upgrade starts, naming the user. The read-only badge in the device list has been there since v1.64.0; the upgrade now honours it.
