Branch management and guards?

I've just deployed an astro build with pagesCMS on top to my team.

It's all good and works amazingly! Beautiful lean products.

one thing I'm wondering about:

PagesCMS has the branch picker top left where a content editor (not too tech savvy) could end up on the wrong branch and doing a bunch of work and not be able to move it across. My prod branch is protected. It's not too bad but I was wondering how other folks have configured PagesCMS for that?

It would be great to specify in the yaml a branch lock so you can never swap branch and always push to the correct one.
