Huzaifah Multi-Rice v6.0.0 — Sumi

Desktop fixes — r3

The one-command installer includes the nine omitted Crimson wallpaper-picker UI sources, Cipher Super+Space routed to its running shell, and Aether launch settings that resolve Papirus app icons. All three fixes were accepted in a fresh CachyOS VM. The r2 backend, SDDM and quiet GRUB repairs, MacTahoe icons, Lumina assets, 12 rices, 74 login cards, eight GRUB cards and fast 631-wallpaper downloader are retained.

For the revised offline image, use release-r3.json and assemble-v6-r3.py. Source: v6.0-tahoe-dev at 0a3e83e630b6de867e8a09338cd9667505f3b57c. The newly assembled r3 image has passed payload/GUI/protocol checks; a new installation of that combined image has not yet been accepted. Earlier revision assets remain available.

Fresh-machine fixes — appearance r2

The one-command installer now uses the revised payload: receipt-backed SDDM selection for next boot, quiet GRUB arguments retained across theme changes, complete MacTahoe icons and Lumina launcher/palette assets. All 12 rices, 74 login cards, eight GRUB cards and the fast 631-wallpaper downloader are retained.

The source is pinned on v6.0-tahoe-dev at 8c3367e3c64614c01520408797b39726986ebe8e. The repair was accepted after reboot in a fresh CachyOS VM; a new clean installation acceptance run is next. Original offline/r1 assets remain available. For the revised offline build, download release-r2.json and run assemble-v6-r2.py in the same directory.

One-command online installer

Run in a graphical desktop terminal as your normal user:

This launcher opens the tested fast online setup, checks GUI/payload-manifest hashes, and offers all 631 wallpapers through three parallel ZIP-pack downloads. Huzaifah Multi-Rice v6.0.0 — Sumi

Twelve desktops, one Sumi Deck: Aether, Obsidian, Crimson, Materia, Aurora,
Nocturne, Lumina, Tsugumori, Solstice, Cipher, Astra and Eclipse.

• 74 SDDM login theme cards and eight Evangelion GRUB theme cards, with previews and authenticated selection.
• Shared Sumi Deck, shortcut search with readable Lua action names, music controls and refresh-rate controls.
• Repaired native shell startup and wallpaper support; Eclipse layout and settings launchers included.
• A pinned collection of 631 wallpapers, available as an optional separate download.
• Offline package handling preserves installed versions and compatible providers, adding compatible missing packages.
• Configuration backups and guarded restore. Packages remain installed after restore. The reinstall restore check now accepts unchanged login-theme files while preserving protections for edited files or theme removal.

Download and run

Download assemble-v6.py, put it in an empty folder, and run:

The assembler downloads release.json and any missing split parts, verifies SHA-256,
and creates the AppImage. You can also download all .partNNN files and release.json
first, then run the assembler offline. Keep release.json beside the AppImage.
Allow several minutes for the first launch and use setup's preflight for storage requirements.
Python 3 and an active graphical session are required. Authenticate when setup requests system changes.

The optional sumi-setup-v6.0.0-x86_64.tar.xz contains the smaller standalone setup GUI.
Extract it with tar to preserve links. Its online launcher obtains the matching payload;
its offline launcher requires the AppImage or all split parts beside it.

Validation and compatibility

All twelve desktops, shared shortcuts/configurations, GRUB and login themes were
manually tested in the CachyOS VM. Installation and configuration restore were also
confirmed there. The final build preserves that RC5 payload and adds the tested restore
check repair, with hash checks, backend regression tests and a GUI render check.
This is validation on the existing CachyOS test VM; it does not establish every hardware
combination or a fresh-install test on every Arch derivative.

The payload contains CachyOS-optimized packages. Preflight and dependency checks decide
whether a system can use it. Do not bypass package compatibility checks. No kernel or
GPU driver change is part of desktop setup. GRUB cards require an existing GRUB installation.

The installer source archive is included. Third-party desktops/themes retain their
respective licenses and credits. Release code is pinned from v6.0-tahoe-dev; main

• Modern AppImage type2 runtime; target systems no longer need the old libfuse2 runtime path used by the previous build.

3. Double-click the AppImage.
4. Run Preflight.
5. Choose Install.
6. Reboot and log in through Frieren SDDM.

The .sha256 asset is provided for integrity verification.

The installer does not choose or replace your desktop wallpaper. The Frieren image is used only by the SDDM login theme.

The .tar.gz asset contains the same AppImage while preserving the executable bit after extraction. SHA256SUMS.txt contains checksums for both assets.

The installer leaves your desktop wallpaper unchanged.

The .tar.gz asset contains the same AppImage while preserving its executable bit after extraction. If a browser strips the executable permission from the raw .AppImage, mark it executable in your file manager or run chmod +x on it once.
