Sipper 0.1.0

Sipper is a native macOS SIP softphone for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 14 Sonoma or later.

Download Sipper-0.1.0.dmg, open it and drag Sipper to Applications. The app and DMG are signed as Ben Hybert, notarised by Apple and have their notarisation tickets stapled. The SHA-256 checksum is included alongside the DMG.

• Multiple SIP accounts and profiles, with UDP, TCP and TLS.
• Calls, hold, mute, transfers, voicemail indicators and call recording.
• Local contacts and call history; passwords stored in the macOS Keychain.
• An optional browser extension for importing FusionPBX accounts. Unzip the extension download and choose Load unpacked in your browser's extensions settings.

The public app does not include iCloud sync or the iLBC and G.722.1 codecs.

Sipper is GPL-3.0-or-later. Sipper-0.1.0-source.tar.gz includes Sipper's source, the exact PJSIP 2.15.1 and Opus 1.6.1 sources, their bundled dependencies, and build instructions. Unused third-party g7221, ilbc and milenage implementations are omitted. Licence notices are also included inside the app and extension ZIP.

Sipper for Windows 0.1.0

Sipper for Windows is the Windows version of Sipper, a free SIP softphone. It runs on Windows 10 (version 1903 or later) and Windows 11, 64-bit (x64).

Download Sipper-0.1.0-Setup.exe and run it. It installs Sipper for your Windows user account without administrator rights. The installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows may say it protected your PC: choose More info, then Run anyway. The SHA-256 checksum is included alongside the installer.

• Multiple SIP accounts and profiles, with UDP, TCP and TLS.
• Calls, hold, mute, transfers, voicemail indicators and call recording.
• An alert window and notifications with Answer and Decline for incoming calls, and an icon in the notification area.
• Local contacts and call history; passwords encrypted with Windows data protection for your Windows account.
• Opens sip:, sips: and tel: links once you choose Sipper in Settings › Apps › Default apps.
• Works with the browser extension for importing FusionPBX accounts, including an optional helper for Chrome, Edge, Brave and Vivaldi in Sipper's settings.

The Windows version does not include sync, and keeps recordings as WAV files. Like the Mac app, it leaves out the iLBC and G.722.1 codecs.
