The final release of the 16-lesson tutorial course. The game and the course that
follows its making are both complete and shipped.

The game

Moonlit Beacon / 달빛 봉화 — a 2D top-down dodge game. Light three
beacons, gather relics to grow your attack, and face a Guardian that answers
differently each cycle.

  • One floating joystick moves you anywhere on screen; attack is automatic, dash
    is the bottom-right button
  • Overcharge a beacon for a raid and better loot, or take the safe light
  • Eight cycles to a formal victory, then an endless stretch
  • Five languages: English, Korean, Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese

Shipping

Android Google Play production · versionCode 14
iOS · iPadOS App Store · build 9
Direct MoonlitBeacon-2.1.0.apk, arm64-v8a, landscape locked
Engine Godot 4.7.1 Standard · GDScript · Compatibility renderer
Internal resolution 808 × 360, integer 3× to 2424 × 1080

The course

All 16 lessons are live at
hyodotdev.github.io/MoonlitBeacon
— from an empty project to a signed build on a phone. A title screen is running
on a real device at the end of Lesson 1, and every lesson after it ends on a
screen you could use as a store screenshot.

Since the repository opened

  • Story pass: first-sight lore, a guardian call-dark, colder late nights, and a
    second answer for every guardian
  • Runs now open on a debt and close on an epitaph
  • Lesson 1–16 clips reshot in English with captions
  • Two-column homepage hero, refreshed logo and favicon derived from the painted
    launcher art
  • Threaded scene load behind a veil for the title-to-arena transition
  • Open-source setup finished and GitHub Pages auto-deploy

Licenses

Ninja Adventure (CC0) · Kenney (CC0) · Galmuri11 and Noto Sans CJK (OFL 1.1) ·

apps/game/docs/licenses/.

Next

3.0.0 takes the game to a completely new UI and a solid story structure. The
art gets richer, but it stays the cute little mini-game it is.
