Better alignment, and the editor remembers where you were.

  • Aligning a corrected transcript is markedly more accurate. Punctuation and capitalisation differences no longer count as mistakes — "recording." now matches "recording" — so timings stay put where they should. Words you added while correcting are spread naturally across the pause they belong in, instead of all landing on the same instant as the word after them. Long transcripts align faster and within sane memory, and speaker labels finally work in any language, not just Latin scripts.
  • Switching between projects keeps your place. Come back to a project and it opens where you left it — same point in the transcript, same point in the audio, paused. Previously the audio jumped back to the start while the transcript scrolled to wherever the other project had been.

With thanks to the ts-aligner project (Apache-2.0), whose approach informed part of the alignment work.
