Hyprforge 0.1.15

Added

• Files: redo. Ctrl+Shift+Z and Ctrl+Y do again whatever undo took back,
  for everything undo covers (hyprforge-files-core's redo list).
• Files: encrypted drives open with their passphrase. A click on a locked
  LUKS or BitLocker drive asks for it, unlocks it through UDisks2 and
  opens it; a wrong passphrase asks again, and unmounting or ejecting
  locks it again (hyprforge-volumes).
• Files: the split view's divider drags, double click for even halves,
  and the session keeps the ratio — through a shared split_handle in
  hyprforge-ui.
• Media and Files' Quick Look: animated GIFs play
  (hyprforge_image::decode_animation, hyprforge_viewer::animation).
• Media: zoomed in, a photo is sharp. Once a zoom settles, the part on
  screen is decoded again at the density it is drawn at
  (hyprforge_image::decode_region), inside the same memory budget.
• Media: a switch for the 3D model's autoreload — Live in the model
  toolbar, and Ctrl+Shift+R.
• Settings: pairs of numbers. A vec2 kind in hyprforge-core brings
  in the shadow offset and the whole drawing-tablet section of Input.
• Settings: layer rules on the Window rules page — see, edit, add and
  remove them.
• Settings: the keep-or-revert prompt after a display change lists what
  changed, from displayd's new PendingChanges.
• The tray's popup opens submenus in place, under a Back row, rather
  than flattening the whole tree into one list.
• hyprforge-mime is its own Arch package: hyprforge-mimetype and
  hyprforge-mimeopen, part of the hyprforge metapackage.

Changed

• Procman's journal is format 3: it records whether delay accounting was
  on, whether exits were dropped or unheard, and "unknown" rather than 0
  for what a frame could not see. Format 2 days still read.

Fixed

• The lock screen no longer borrows hyprlock's PAM file, whose missing
  account stack refused every correct password; it falls back to
  login.

Hyprforge 0.1.14

Added

• hyprforge-procman, the twelfth component: a process manager with Task
  Manager as the floor, a polkit-checked root helper, hyprforge-top
  (atop's screen and atopsar's reports in a terminal), and a recorder that
  keeps a root-only history of the whole machine, with network per process
  counted by eBPF. Packaged as hyprforge-procman, and --procman in the
  installer.

• hyprforge-ui: context_menu, menu_overlay and MenuRow — Files'
  right-click menu, moved into the shared layer with its placement rule
  and the pointer tracking it opens at, so the process manager's menus
  are the same menu.

• tools/hf, replacing check.sh and tools/release.sh: every test in
  one nextest tier (unit, live, visible, disposable, root, manual), the
  tests that change a compositor run only against a disposable nested
  Hyprland, a session guard that fails a check which changed the running
  one, hf land for the push-then-pin order, a two-phase hf release
  that publishes the libraries before the components that need them, and
  hf sandbox, which runs the procman recorder's new --self-test inside
  its unit's own sandbox.

• hyprforge-testkit (unpublished): a live test that changes Hyprland
  refuses to run against the session.

• Set up: "Turn the screen off on idle again" rewrites idle commands
  imported in hyprlang hyprctl dispatch dpms syntax, which a Lua config
  rejects, so screen-off on idle silently did nothing. Imports translate
  them on the way in, and idle.conf is always written in the Lua form.

Fixed

• The greeter's compositor exits when the greeter does: its config said
  hyprctl dispatch exit, which a Lua config rejects on every login.
• The hyprforge-greet package ships the sysusers and tmpfiles entries
  the installer always did, and the greeter templates in
  /usr/share/hyprforge-greet/.
• Uninstalling Files or the polkit agent offers to undo their GTK portal,
  Previous Versions and fingerprint-prompt Set up items.

Changed

• publish.yml waits out crates.io's rate limit by itself instead of
  failing for a person to re-run, and publishes on a libs-vX.Y.Z tag.
• The daemon parse tests run hyprpaper in a runtime directory of its own,
  so they no longer skip whenever hyprpaper is running.
• Debug builds carry line tables only, and dependencies no debug info.

Hyprforge 0.1.13

Added

• hyprforge-polkit, the eleventh component: the administrator prompt,
  drawn with the lock screen's card, with your fingerprint offered
  beside the password. Packaged as hyprforge-polkit, and --polkit
  in the installer.
• hyprforge-ui: stacked_bar, one bar split into coloured parts, and
  a downward chevron (Nav::Down), so a disclosure can show it is open.
• Set up: "Ctrl+Shift+Escape opens the process manager", and "Record
  system history", off by default — enables the process manager's
  recorder through pkexec; undo stops it and keeps what it recorded.
  Both wait for hyprforge-procman, which follows this release.

Fixed

• polkit: the agent started as a systemd user unit found no login
  session — a user unit belongs to none — and restarted every two
  seconds; it now answers for the session your display is in.

Hyprforge 0.1.12

Added

• hyprforge-popup: PopupApp::namespace, so a popup can name its own
  layer surface and a compositor rule can tell it apart from the rest.
• Set up: "Administrator prompts", which makes hyprforge-polkit this
  session's polkit agent — masking hyprpolkitagent for your user, which
  holds even when your config starts it, and unmasking it on undo.
• Set up: "Blur behind administrator prompts", a layer rule for the
  polkit prompt's namespace.

Hyprforge 0.1.11

Added

• Files: "Retry as administrator" on a copy or move that was refused for
  permission, run by the administrator helper.
• hyprforge-popup: an inbox (inbox, Receives,
  Popup::run_receiving), so something outside a popup can tell it
  things while it is open.
• Set up: "Fingerprint for administrator prompts", off by default — adds
  your fingerprint reader to polkit's PAM stack, with the password ten
  seconds later if you don't touch it.
• hyprforge-authui: card_body and glass_panel, the lock screen's card
  as two public pieces, so another password prompt draws with the same
  code.

Hyprforge 0.1.10

Added

• A website, at https://hyprforge-suite.github.io/hyprforge/, with a page
  for each component and screenshots of each; the READMEs show the same
  screenshots.
• hyprforge-fileops: Report::denied and OpsError::is_permission say
  which failures were for want of permission, as data rather than as a
  sentence to recognise.

Changed

• Tray: a menu is as wide as its widest label, measured, from 220 up to
  360px, and only a label wider than that is cut — the battery line no
  longer ends "charging, fu…".
• Files: the path bar shows as much of the path as the field has room
  for, rather than at most three crumbs at any width.

Fixed

• Popups: no square corner showed behind the rounded corners of the
  clipboard history, the emoji picker and the notification center.

Hyprforge 0.1.9

• Files: phones and cameras in the Devices section, through gvfs's MTP and
  gPhoto2 backends (hyprforge-volumes).

• Lock screen: restarts itself when it crashes. A supervisor relaunches
  the lock, switches to a safe mode (default theme, no wallpaper, no
  extras, no power menu) from the second crash, and gives up — the
  session staying locked — after four crashes in a minute.
• Set up: "Restart the lock screen if it crashes" turns on Hyprland's
  misc:allow_session_lock_restore, with an undo.
• Greeter: input methods. It asks for one while a question is open and
  starts fcitx5 in its own compositor, with every addon that can launch
  a program disabled; IBus is not started, because its Wayland input
  method only runs inside a panel that launches programs.
• tools/release.sh, tools/versions.py, tools/changelog.py and
  tools/aur.py: one suite version, these changelogs, and an AUR
  package rendered from packaging/arch, with check.sh steps that hold
  all three.

Changed

• Files: drags inside the window stay in it, folders spring open under a
  resting drag, and the drag itself is drawn as a card.
• Files: job notifications say who did what, from where to where, and in
  how long.
• Media: videos and models are drawn through hyprforge-viewer, shared
  with Files' Quick Look.
• ./hyprforge --install --media removes the Hyprforge Photos binary and
  launcher entry a machine installed before the rename still had.
• The README is now a landing page; the reference moved to docs/, and
  the design documents to docs/design/.

Fixed

• Greeter: typing left a stack of card outlines behind, one per
  keystroke. Shadows are now drawn as images, which iced_tiny_skia
  0.14.1 clips to the repainted area where it does not clip a quad's own
  shadow (fixed upstream after the 0.14 branch).
• notif: the notification center drew the theme's colours swapped.
• Docs: stale counts (the Appearance catalogue's 155 options, the
  packages the PKGBUILD builds, the Settings app's eighteen Hyprforge
  dependencies).

Install: clone at this tag with --recurse-submodules and run ./hyprforge --install, or build the packages with cd packaging/arch && makepkg -si. Needs Hyprland 0.55+ with a Lua config (hyprland.lua).
