Hylki 1.38.0

• Ctrl+Enter sends the message you are writing (#238).
• The signature goes above the quoted message in replies and forwards
  (#237); Settings → Composing puts it below again if you prefer.
• Forwarding keeps the attachments (#240). A reply still does not repeat
  them.
• Hide folders you never open from a folder's right-click menu (#239);
  the account editor brings them back. An Exchange server's calendar,
  contacts and task folders are hidden from the start.
• Fixed: a conversation opened from Inboxes shows every reply (#236),
  not only the newest message. The list now renders 500 rows at a time.
• Fixed: a message that is only a file shows no garbage preview (#241).
• Fixed: messages are marked read as they scroll into view again.
• Accounts go by their nickname in the Mail Accounts list, and the

• Choose the browser links open in (#232). Settings → System → Links: the
  desktop's default, any browser you have installed, or ask each time.
• Edit as New Message (#232). Open a copy of any message in the composer —
  same recipients, subject, body and attachments, no tie to the original.
• Focus Mode goes further. Four new switches in Settings → Appearance: hide
  the preview text, hide the subject, fold the sidebar to its icon rail, and
  start every launch in the mode.
• Fixed: the reading pane's actions fold into the ⋯ menu again on a narrow
  window. They had stopped folding at any width.
• Fixed: the hovering sidebar dims the window behind it instead of covering
  it in flat colour when a theme is on.
• About names the translators, in their own list beside the contributors.
• The repository is readable (#230, @yioannides).
  The README is a page rather than a manual, and the documentation lives in
  docs/.

Hylki 1.36.0

Meeting invitations (#223). A message that carries a meeting now shows it at the top of the card, instead of only the note the sender's calendar wrote for clients that cannot read the invitation: what the meeting is, when it runs in your own clock and time zone, where it is, who organised it and how many are invited — with Accept, Maybe, Decline and Add to Calendar underneath. Your answer goes to the organiser as a proper reply their calendar understands, sent from the address that was invited, so their guest list updates. Answer a meeting that has been moved, or one date out of a repeating series, and the answer lands on the right one. Reopen the message later and it says what you answered and when; a meeting you answered in another program shows that too. A cancelled meeting says so, and a reply from somebody else says who answered and how. Add to Calendar opens the invitation in your calendar application. The calendar file is also listed as an attachment now, so you can save it like any other. Reported by @EmmanuelP.

Leave a mailing list with one button. A message from a list now carries an Unsubscribe banner above it. Hylki leaves the list for you: for lists that support it, one request and it is done, with no browser and no web form; for others, a short email sent in your name from the address the list writes to. Only a list that offers nothing but a web page sends you to the browser, and the button says so first. Plenty of bulk mail carries no unsubscribe header at all, so the footer of the message is read too — the link, the address to write to, or the "reply with UNSUBSCRIBE" instruction. Lists you have left are remembered, so the next message from one says when you left instead of pretending nothing happened.

Focus Mode. Press Ctrl+Shift+F (or pick it from the main menu) and the window gets out of the way: toolbars fold into their ⋯ menus, the sidebar's accounts and unified rows fold up, the list drops to one preview line without avatars, and every message opens in Reader View. Everything slides away and comes back the same way. Settings → Appearance lets you choose which parts it does, and Focus Mode never changes your ordinary settings.

Smaller fixes. Changing how message rows look — avatars, logos, preview lines, the date style, the recipient column, colouring — now redraws the rows already on screen instead of waiting for the next folder.

Hylki 1.35.4

Reader View. A switch on the account chip's line of the reader header shows every message of the open conversation as its content alone: headings, paragraphs, lists, quotes, links, pictures and real tables, set in one clean sheet that follows your theme. The sender's layout, colours, fonts, hidden preview text and tracking pixels are gone. The choice follows into popped-out windows and into printing. Settings → Reading lets you hide the switch, or choose whether a message opens the way it was sent, in Reader View, or however you last left the switch.

Memory no longer grows with every message you write (#221). Each composer, pop-out window and print preview runs in a WebKit process of its own, and those processes were left running after their window closed, a few hundred MB each. They now end with what used them. The exported log's Memory section also lists how many of these views are alive, since inside Flatpak they run outside the log's own process tree.

Mailfence accounts show their mail (#226). Mailfence answers the message-list fetch in a way the app could not read once the list-preview items were part of the request, so the folders counted their messages but listed none. The app now retries without those items and, for the session, skips the preview reads that would trip the same reply. Message previews stay blank for Mailfence until the server's reply is understood; if you use Mailfence, an exported log after updating would help.

A readable error instead of a wall of numbers. When a server's reply cannot be read, the status bar now says so and quotes the first line of the reply. The exported log keeps the whole thing.

Replies through Proton Bridge join their conversation. A reply sent through Bridge went out and landed in Sent, but never threaded with the message it answered: the app wrote the parent's Message-ID in lowercase, and Bridge matches ids exactly. Ids are now sent spelt the way they arrived.

The theme chooser shows each theme as a window. Settings → Appearance draws every theme as a small window, light on the left and dark on the right, so every surface a theme colours is on show. The System card follows the desktop's accent colour.

New icon and wordmark art, and the wizard and About window draw the wordmark with its soft shadow.

Smaller fixes. The Contacts page says "No Contacts" when there is no address book instead of loading forever; Settings → Mail Accounts shows your Gravatar; themed dividers no longer read as bright stripes.
