Vouch requests #40
Repos I am interested in contributing tohyprland, aquamarine What I want to contribute right nowHave Hyprland working on older GPUs again. I have patched and tested it on my Thinkpad X200 latop. Why the above bug / feature specifically?I have a Thinkpad X200 and a Thinkpad X200s that I would like to work with Omarchy Linux.

We do not support GLES2 anymore and haven't supported it for a long time. I do not wish to have to constantly worry about extensions missing in my graphics code. |

I would like to end-to-end test my changes to Omarchy Linux on a older laptop with legacy BIOS that is not used daily. Unforunate both of my old Thinkpad have these old GPUs. Is it possible to have minimal of GLES2 code, where most of the effects are ignored/no-op? Will that reduce maintainance? Will it be possible to have the code easily removable in case it bit rots in the future. There are system environment that can be set that I tested on my |

dude, we are talking about a 20 year old standard. GLES2 is dead, and many of what we do requires 3. I mean, for crying out loud, importing some BUFFERS needs 3. That is called "showing an app". If your GPU is genuinely so old it cannot run GLES3, you should really consider getting something newer. There's also Zink, but I have no idea if your card supports vulkan either. |

Yes, I know it is super old and I use another as daily driver. All the compiling and most testing av been done on my AMD Ryzen 9 9950X + AMD Radeon RX 7600. I would not care for GLES2 in Hyprland if Omarchy Linux supported other window managers, then I would just switch to another WM.
I had these old laptops already and hoped I could use for testing. |

Ok, is it like you dont want it in your code base at all or are you fine with someone else maintaining it? |

I don't want it in my code base. I am the one maintaining it.
