GitOutbox v0.2.0 is an official feature and UX release delivering dedicated Git and Scheduler inspection dashboards, a redesigned user event timeline, structured draft queue lifecycle management, complete Windows desktop settings integration, and a Developer Demo Data Generator tool.

✨ Highlights

  • Dedicated Git & Scheduler Management: Immediate visibility into installed Git version, executable path, authentication identity, default branch, scheduler status (Running, Paused, Stopped), active queue breakdown, and retry policy.
  • Redesigned Activity Stream: High-level event timeline replacing verbose execution logs with readable user-facing events (Repository Added, Draft Created, Scheduled, Executed, Push Completed, Execution Failed).
  • Structured Queue Lifecycle: Organizes draft commits into filterable status categories (All, Pending, Scheduled, Executing, Completed, Failed, Skipped, Archived) with batch operations.
  • Categorized Windows Settings: 8 structured sections (General, Git, Scheduler, Execution, Notifications, Updates, Advanced, About) with launch-on-startup, minimize-to-tray, and system tray control.
  • Icon Artwork & Scroll Container Polish: Scaled transparent icon margins to 92-95% artwork coverage for Windows taskbar and system tray, and added pb-20 bottom padding buffer across all views.

  • Scheduler Diagnostic View: View scheduler status indicator, running state, active/pending queues, next execution timer, and retry limits.
  • Developer Demo Data Generator: Reusable development utility located in tools/demo-data/ (generate.py / generate.js) for seeding test data with volume presets (small, medium, large).
  • Raw System Logs Tab: Dedicated tab in Activity view with level filtering (ALL, INFO, WARNING, ERROR) and copy-to-clipboard functionality.
  • Advanced Diagnostics: Open application data folder, open database location, export logs, reset onboarding flow, and clear cache actions in Settings.

  • Queue Drawer Details: Click any draft card to inspect assigned files, fingerprints, branch target, and retry history.
  • System Tray Controls: Direct tray menu options to Pause/Resume Scheduler, Open Application, or Quit.
  • Visual Hierarchy & Spacing: Unified color tokens, typography scales, badge variants, and bottom padding buffers (pb-20).

🐛 Fixed

  • Taskbar & Tray Icon Visibility: Replaced oversized padding in icon assets with full-canvas artwork (32x32, 128x128, .ico).
  • Card Cut-Off at Bottom: Resolved layout issue where the last item in scrollable lists was partially clipped by adding bottom padding buffers.
