HEUCAT 0.3.0

This release makes the first run visible and keeps unlock sessions entirely inside macOS Keychain.

What changed

  • Adds a live six-step setup guide with direct actions.
  • Adds a setup entry point on empty installations.
  • Preserves protection mode and custom Keychain locations during updates.
  • Splits long session values across Keychain items instead of plaintext files.
  • Migrates legacy session files into Keychain and removes them.
  • Adds command timeouts and reliable process output handling.
  • Stops reporting rejected provider requests as successful authentication.
  • Adds a safe installer that backs up the previous application bundle.

The desktop application requires macOS 14 or later. Secure Enclave mode requires compatible Apple hardware. This build is ad-hoc signed and is not notarized by Apple.
