Releases: iacosta3994/panel-dodge

v1.2.0

@iacosta3994 iacosta3994 released this 07 Aug 22:13

Fixes a session-start race that could leave the script permanently inert (discovery now retries until plasmashell is up), and an explicit MainOutput now pins the home screen so discovery is timing-independent. See CHANGELOG.md.

Panel Dodge 1.0.0

Choose a tag to compare

@iacosta3994 iacosta3994 released this 30 Jul 05:31

KWin script for KDE Plasma 6: when a window goes fullscreen on the monitor that hosts your panel, the panel slides to another monitor so it never covers the fullscreen app — and slides back when the window is gone.

Great for borderless-fullscreen games/video on a multi-monitor setup where the taskbar keeps drawing on top.

Install

  • Easiest: System Settings → Window Management → KWin Scripts → Get New Scripts… (once it's on the KDE Store), or
  • Download panel-dodge-1.0.0.kwinscript below and run: `kpackagetool6 --type=KWin/Script -i panel-dodge-1.0.0.kwinscript`, then enable it in KWin Scripts.

Notes

  • Zero-config on a normal multi-monitor setup (panel, home screen, and park screen are auto-detected).
  • Optional overrides via the script's config button.
  • Single-monitor safe (does nothing when there's nowhere to dodge to). Plasma 6 only.
