First release of Needle: a Windows tray monitor for Claude Code sessions.

Installation

Download needle_0.1.0_x64-setup.exe, run it, open Needle once. It auto-configures itself (registers Claude Code hooks in ~/.claude/settings.json, without touching hooks from other tools). No prerequisites — no Node, no Rust required.

What's included

  • Per-session state: running, waiting for input, needs attention, idle, error, stale
  • Native Windows notification when a session needs you
  • Tray icon reflects the worst state across all sessions
  • Settings screen (thresholds, autostart, hooks status)
  • Single instance, popover positioned near the icon
  • Uninstaller removes the hooks automatically
