Pluely v1.0.0 Release Notes
Rebuilt from zero. Every line.
Two years ago Pluely was a tiny overlay built by one person: an input box, an answer, invisible to everyone but you. You turned it into something I still can't quite believe. 40,000+ downloads. 10,000+ active users. 8 billion tokens generated. Along the way came thousands of feature requests, comments, and bug reports, and they became the blueprint for what you're looking at now.
v1 is my answer to all of that. Not an update. Months of sleepless nights and a ground-up rewrite of the entire application: new overlay, new engine, new dashboard, new everything.
What's new
🎧 Listen mode. Your meetings, transcribed live. Mic and system audio together, speaker labels, no bot joining anything. The AI drafts answers automatically: on every question, after every pause, or only when you tap Suggest. Smart follow-ups appear under each answer, and every session is saved as a meeting with its full transcript, stored on your device.
💬 Ask mode, sharper everywhere. Type it, dictate it, or show it: full screen capture, region select, document attachments with built-in OCR, and a Use image toggle that pins a fresh screenshot to every message. Answers stream in as Markdown, and conversations are saved, searchable, and exportable.
🧠 200+ models, one tap away. GPT, Gemini, Claude, Llama and more on Pro plans. No API keys, switchable mid-conversation, with a pinned live web-search model for questions that need this minute's information. The catalog: pluely.com/models.
🆓 The free plan stays free. Forever. Bring your own provider through a curl template, or connect the CLIs you already have: Claude Code, Gemini CLI, OpenAI Codex, Qwen Code, Ollama. Your keys stay encrypted on your device. Day-one promise, kept.
🕶️ Stealth, taken seriously. Invisible on screen shares, recordings, and screenshots. Never steals focus from your call. The icon can vanish from the Dock and taskbar entirely.
⌨️ Keyboard-first. Global hotkeys summon, capture, and start listening from anywhere; single keys drive the overlay once it has focus. Every global shortcut is rebindable.
🗂️ A real dashboard. Chats, meetings, a document library, custom prompts with knowledge files, and live usage meters with your real billing dates.

Upgrading from v0.x
Your existing license works as-is. Activate it once in the new dashboard. On macOS, if screen or microphone permissions act up after updating, remove Pluely from the permission list and re-add it (guide).
