Natter 0.2.12
Natter 0.2.12
- Claude and other standard apps now receive the complete final transcript after recording stops.
- You can choose Normal, Relaxed or Slow double-tap timing in Settings.
- Agent mode still types live in terminal apps.
Natter 0.2.11
Open Natter without delay
- The main Natter window now opens quickly, even when local history contains many dictations.
Natter 0.2.10
Recognize Natter in every mode
- Natter now recognizes its own name correctly in every dictation mode, including Raw.
Natter 0.2.9
Continue through setup
- One successfully dictated word now completes the shortcut test.
- If dictation already works elsewhere, you can continue directly to the optional writing tools.
Natter 0.2.8
Reliable speech model setup
- Interrupted speech model downloads now resume or restart safely instead of leaving setup stuck at “Try the shortcut.”
- Natter checks that every Core ML model is complete before setup continues.
- You can return to earlier setup steps, remove an installed model, and see a clear error when a model action fails.
Natter 0.2.7
You can now drag the full or compact recording overlay wherever it works best. Natter remembers the position for your next dictation.
New setups place the overlay at the bottom-right of the active screen. Saved positions stay fully visible when your display layout changes.
Natter 0.2.6
Natter can now keep your Mac awake while recording and finishing a transcript. The setting is enabled by default and still allows the display to sleep.
This release also restores standard editing shortcuts throughout the app, including cut, copy, paste, undo, redo and select all.
Natter 0.2.5
Smarter dictation controls
- Raw adds a missing final full stop to ordinary prose while preserving questions, URLs, paths and technical endings.
- Dictionary rules and custom words can now be imported and exported.
- An optional spoken “lowercase” command continues a sentence without forcing an initial capital.
- Agent correction commands honour explicit lowercase, uppercase, title case and sentence case instructions, including letter-by-letter spelling.
- Command-Shift-M cycles modes while Tab remains available for terminal completion and other apps.
- Core services and tests are split into smaller, focused files with automatic size checks.
This is the notarized Apple silicon build for macOS 15 or later.
Natter 0.2.4
Natter throughout
- Renames the app executable, Swift modules and developer tools consistently to Natter.
- Preserves existing settings, models, history, dictionary and app assignments unchanged.
This is the notarized Apple silicon build for macOS 15 or later.
Natter 0.2.3
Reliable delivery in every app
- Delivers the complete transcript as one normal paste to the app where dictation started, including Electron editors.
- Accepts the currently focused editor when web apps replace their Accessibility nodes.
- Falls back safely when the active app changes and keeps the transcript on the clipboard when no stable field is exposed.
- Includes the trailing space in the same payload, avoids extra blank lines, and dismisses the overlay immediately after delivery.
