• Connection problem banner: when Home Assistant is unreachable, a tappable banner on the home and clock screens explains the situation and opens the connection settings directly. A .local address gets a dedicated hint recommending the server's local IP.
• mDNS warnings: .local hostnames are detected in onboarding, connection settings and the web config page, warning that local DNS (mDNS) may not resolve on some panels.
• Staged web-config testing: remote setup splits Home Assistant and MQTT into separate steps, each validated live before saving — HA tests address, port and token; MQTT tests host, port and authentication. Per-section cards show "Configured" or "Waiting", plus an offline view with retry.
• Clock date formats: nine layouts (long, weekday variants, numeric and ISO) selectable from the clock theme, with a live localized preview.
• Weather corrections: deterministic weather-entity selection, forecast entries without a temperature dropped, real city reverse-geocoded from the Home Assistant zone, and °C/°F conversion.
• Accessibility pass: buttons, switches, sliders and selectors expose proper roles, hardware-key activation and larger touch targets; dialogs are announced.
