Visual Studio Support for Datacap DDK Panel Development
As Datacap Desktop (dcdesktop.exe) is currently a 32-bit application, DDK panels should be developed and tested using Visual Studio 2019. DDK panels developed exclusively in Visual Studio 2022 may experience design-time display or rendering issues due to architecture compatibility differences.
Recommended steps are as follows:
Use Visual Studio 2019 for DDK panel design, development, and validation. Perform all design-time and user interface testing in Visual Studio 2019. Use Visual Studio 2022 for final solution builds and compilation, if desired.
Following this approach helps ensure proper panel rendering and compatibility with the current Datacap Desktop environment.
