Reader Text Selection Operations

Overview

The document reader supports text selection and context actions via a hidden long-press gesture. This operation is not exposed by visible buttons and may be overlooked by new users.

Operation Steps

1. Inside the reader view, long press any target text.
2. Adjust the selection range by dragging the selection handles to cover your desired text segment.
3. A context menu will pop up, offering the following functions:
   • Search: Search the selected text
   • Add reading note: Create a reading note bound to this text fragment

Tips

• No dedicated on-screen button triggers this panel; long-press is the only entry.
• If the selection menu fails to appear, try long-pressing steadily on static text content.
