Authorization

No authorization

For certain actions in the API, like searching public items, no authorization is needed.

Oauth

If in the API documentation, for most actions an Oauth 2.0 token needs to be added in the top left corner. If adding/updating/deleting items in the figshare@ices account:

• Log in to figshare with that account.
• In the top-right corner select the user icon and then Applications.
• Scroll down to Create Personal Token, select, and copy the long chain of digits that displays.
• Paste that into the documentation token box.

Basic authorization

To work with the stats pages, different credentials are needed (username and password). Request these from figshare support.
