Description
The framework treats identity as an individual geometric project. Confucius, Aristotle (zoon politikon), Erikson (psychosocial), and Sartre (intersubjectivity) all point to identity as constitutively relational and culturally embedded. IE currently has no concept for how collective identity, shared narratives, or relational roles shape and constrain individual geometry.
Impact
Framework is weaker for people who experience their identity primarily through family, community, culture, or collective belonging. Misses a major dimension of how identity actually forms.
Mitigation / path forward
Develop a relational layer: how the Stem is shaped by and accountable to webs of relationship, not only individual vision. Gravitation partially covers this (attracting others) but the reverse — being shaped by others' gravity — is not modeled.
Migration note
