Description
Space is proposed as the foundational layer of the framework: the order of relative positions and the birth of degrees of freedom (relational, in the Leibniz sense). The public narrative (Particles of Identity blog, hierarchy Space → Particles → Time → Mass) is advancing, but Identity Space is not yet a formal core concept.
Open questions:
- Is Identity Space only a 3-positional arena, or a high-dimensional configuration space that also includes value, charge, narrative, and relational dimensions?
- How is relative distance between identity aspects measured? Is there an explicit metric?
- What is the relationship between geometric position and Possibility Space?
Without dimensionality and metric, Space remains metaphorical and cannot rigorously ground Particles, Ownership-as-degrees-of-freedom, or later formalization.
Impact
- Core claims about degrees of freedom, binding, and ownership lack a shared geometric substrate.
- Risk of incoherent use of "Space" vs "Possibility Space" vs configuration space across pages.
- Blocks precise probes and mathematical work that depend on a well-defined arena.
Mitigation / path forward
- Write a working definition of Identity Space (dimensionality candidates, metric candidates, what is and is not included).
- Map to relational space (Leibniz) and absolute/arena intuitions (Newton) already in Foundations work.
- Publish as Core Concept sketch (Notion → Framework page) once stable enough for public review.
- Keep formulas labeled inspirational until the metric is explicit.
