Summary

Public crystallization of the ownership discussion into a working definition that closes the most urgent part of the Critical Gap on ownership.

Core claim

Ownership is not absolute possession. It is the relative, gradual, multi-layered distribution of degrees of freedom (Access + Jurisdiction) with respect to a thing. Sovereignty is the highest relative jurisdiction over the Identity Stem. The only durable claim is over the Stem itself (State Differential + Vision Gradient); everything else is better described as Access Agreements.

Structure

  1. The illusion of absolute ownership (body, land, substrate-free cases)
  2. Working definition: Access, Jurisdiction, Degrees of Freedom
  3. What is actually owned: the Stem
  4. Gradual and multi-layered co-ownership as the normal case
  5. Connection to Space / Particles / geometric degrees of freedom
  6. Engineering consequences and next levers

Files

  • website/src/pages/blog/ownership-as-relative-jurisdiction.astro (new)
  • website/src/pages/blog/index.astro (post added)

Follow-ups (not in this PR)

  • Formal Core Concept page for Ownership / Sovereignty
  • Access & Jurisdiction probes
  • Critical Gaps status update from “undefined” to “working definition under refinement”

Related open PRs: #22 (Particles), #23 (Newton + Leibniz Foundations).

Crystallizes the ownership discussion into a public working definition:
ownership as the relative, gradual, multi-layered distribution of degrees
of freedom (Access + Jurisdiction) with respect to a thing. Sovereignty
as highest relative jurisdiction over the Identity Stem. Addresses the
Critical Gap on representation of ownership.

Pull request overview

Adds a new blog essay that formalizes a working definition of “Ownership as Relative Jurisdiction” within the Identity Engineering framework, and surfaces it on the blog hub.

Changes:

  • Introduces a new long-form blog post page defining ownership via Access + Jurisdiction and relating it to the Identity Stem.
  • Adds the new post to the blog index’s posts list for discovery/navigation.

The ownership definition is continuous with the emerging geometric hierarchy. <a href="/blog/particles-of-identity" class="text-white/75 underline decoration-white/25 underline-offset-4 transition hover:text-white hover:decoration-white/50">Space</a> is the order of possible relative positions — the birth of positional degrees of freedom. Particles are the bound configurations of those freedoms under Strong Binding and Charge. Time integrates their motion into the Stem. Ownership is the relational accounting of which identity holds which remaining freedoms with respect to any given configuration or trajectory.
Remove em-dashes, tag the post as working definition rather than Core Concept,
and align geometric hierarchy and Critical Gaps language with the proposed
Space/Particles layer and public gap tracking.
