Samplebrain - v1.2.0
What's new
Sample Design (new)
A new tab that turns the concatenative-synthesis output into usable samples:
- Pitch — transposed variations (varispeed; chromatic / major / minor / pentatonic strategies)
- Layered — stacked, randomly transposed copies (1/N auto-attenuation)
- Slice — cut into one-shots, auto-classified kick / hat / snare / tom / perc
- Automate — random pitch glides
- Interactive source waveform: clickable onset markers, zone selection, spacebar playback
- Export: clips on an "SB Siblings" track + 44.1k WAVs
Engine
- Smooth match engine (Viterbi unit-selection) alongside the original Greedy — polyphonic
- Target selectable from the dialog (switch it without reopening)
- Tabs: Synth / Prep / Sample Design (shared Target + Brain sources)
Fixes
- Synthesis clicks fixed (Tukey overlap-add window)
- Block size auto-clamped — no more "block size too large"
- GitHub update detection (a badge may now appears when a newer release is out)
- Permission-model compliance: reads/writes limited to the allowed directories, symlink-tolerant
