Revive 0.12.0
Reading your folder, rebuilt: much faster, much cheaper, and much clearer.
- Finds your projects on its own, in seconds. Revive now works out what each project is made of, how it starts, which port it opens and which keys it needs straight from its files, without any AI. A folder of 150 projects takes a few seconds.
- Better descriptions, for cents. Claude only writes the plain-language parts (a name, one sentence in English and natural Hebrew, and what each key is for), from a short summary Revive makes. It never sees your files. About 2 cents per project.
- Only what changed. Projects that haven't changed since the last reading keep their description and cost nothing.
- See every project as it's read. The reading screen lists each project by name with its own progress, the cost so far and an estimate.
- Works with iCloud Drive. Revive never downloads files that are only in iCloud, and skips folders that don't answer quickly.
- Reading never stops your running projects and never changes a file. A restore point is saved afterwards, in the background.
- Clearer project cards. Projects without a picture yet show their own icon and color; "Not checked yet" is no longer shown as a warning; on phones the list is compact.
- Fixed: a reading of a very large folder could get stuck while saving a version and never finish.
Install: open the .dmg and drag Revive onto Applications. This early-access build isn't notarized by Apple yet: the first time, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway next to Revive (or run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Revive.app).
