@ignis32 ignis32 released this 12 Oct 10:59

First release of Trireme FM-1: custom firmware that turns the M-VAVE FM-1 into a programmable USB keyboard and macro pad.

Vibe-coded firmware. It runs on my own FM-1, but not every function has been tested by hand. Keep the stock firmware at hand.

What's in it

  • Any key, shortcut, media or mouse key on every note key, button and KNOB1-4
  • Five layers: hold, one-shot, go to, toggle, layer-tap, mod-tap, one-shot modifiers
  • Macros, tap dance, combos and the QMK timing settings (edited in Vial)
  • Vial support: the layout is built in, no definition file needed
  • An on-device editor (OCT+), with a live legend on the screen
  • Per-key light styles per layer
  • The configuration is kept in flash and survives reinstalling the stock firmware

Installing

  1. Install the stock V15 firmware first.
  2. Install trireme-fm1-v0.1.fwsc like any FM-1 firmware package (see the README).

To go back: install stock V15. OCT- + OCT+ held 10 s, or OCT+ held at power-on, puts the FM-1 in update mode.

Files

  • trireme-fm1-v0.1.fwsc: the firmware package
  • trireme-fm1-v0.1.fwsc.sha256: its checksum
  • LICENSE-Apache-2.0-JieLi-SDK.txt: the package contains three files from the JieLi AC79 SDK (Apache-2.0)
