🚀 Highlights

Ignite CLI v30.0.0-rc.2 is the second release candidate of v30. This release gives the Cosmos SDK tooling the love promised in rc.1: scaffolded chains now use Cosmos SDK v0.55.0, IBC-Go v11.2.0, and CometBFT v0.40.0.

• ignite cosmos scaffold chain generates a Cosmos SDK v0.55 app: x/evidence, x/feegrant, and x/upgrade are imported from github.com/cosmos/cosmos-sdk/x/..., logging uses cosmossdk.io/log/v2, and the store uses cosmos-sdk/store/v2.
• The x/params, x/group, x/circuit, and x/nft modules are removed from the chain template, following the SDK v0.55 reference app.
• Ignite CLI v30 works with both v0.55.x and v0.53.x chains.
• Chains scaffolded with earlier versions require manual changes to upgrade to SDK v0.55. See the migration guide.

Get started with a Cosmos SDK v0.55 chain:

$ ignite cosmos scaffold chain example
$ cd example
$ ignite cosmos chain serve

  • Resolve SDK module protos from the SDK proto directory only, so the deprecated contrib protos are not picked up during module discovery. This fixes TypeScript client and composables generation.
  • Pin libp2p and webtransport-go in the scaffolded app template.
