🩸 Athena Randomizer v0.14.0 — VEILBREAK & OMENVEIL (fr this time)

Version 0.14.0 introduces key mechanical upgrades and thematic polish to both the VEILBREAK and OMENVEIL modes. Whether you're diving into a full base+DLC adventure or participating in SCADUBINGO's newest themed challenge, this update brings quality-of-life improvements, progression reworks, and major flavor upgrades.

🗺️ VEILBREAK | Base + DLC Mode

🏁 Updated Starting Graces

  • Gatefront
  • Inner Aeonia
  • Ailing Village Outskirts
  • South Raya Lucaria Gate

🛡️ Altus Grace Unlocks (upon entering Altus)

  • Outer Wall Battleground
  • Road of Iniquity
  • Craftsman’s Shack
  • Snow Valley Ruins Overlook
  • Inner Consecrated Snowfield
  • Nameless Eternal City (Deeproot)
  • Lake of Rot Shoreside

Additionally, players receive 3 Sacred Tears upon activating their first Altus grace.

🌕 Haligtree / Mohgwyn Adjustments

  • Ordina puzzle barrier has been removed for smoother progression
    • The puzzle can still be accessed through the evergaol entrance, but the portal barrier has been removed
  • Touching Haligtree Canopy grace now unlocks Elphael Inner Wall
  • Mohg's Somber +10 reward restored
  • Mohgwyn Palace warp (in Consecrated Snowfields) sends players directly to the Dynasty Medallion destination
    • Sanguine Noble invader must be defeated to activate the portal

🔥 DLC Grace Reworks

  • Castle Watering Hole grace has been removed from the pool
  • Defeating Ancient Dragon-Man now unlocks:
    • Foot of the Jagged Peak
    • Charo's Hidden Grave
  • Burning the Sealing Tree now unlocks:
    • Divine Gate Front Staircase

🧠 Remembrance Bosses

Defeating any two of these remembrance bosses will unlock DLC graces. (this list of remembrance bosses is included for convenience)

🧩 Miscellaneous Gameplay Changes

  • 🔓 Capital is now unlocked at game start
  • 🧿 Player receives the Cursemark of Death at the start
  • ❌ Sacred Tears are no longer part of starting loadout
  • 🌱 Scadutree Blessing now starts at Level 3
  • ✅ Grafted Scion’s fog gate now works correctly

⚔️ Fortissax Fight Rework

You can now properly fight Lichdragon Fortissax through the intended questline:

  1. Activate Radahn Festival
  2. Hug Fia to receive the Weathered Dagger
  3. Give dagger to D → Find Fia at D's corpse
  4. Go to Deeproot Depths, hug Fia until you can give her the Cursemark
  5. Reload → Hug again until she dies → Fortissax fight unlocked
    ✔️ Fia’s Champions are skipped automatically

⚔️ OMENVEIL | SCADUBINGO Mode

A brand new flavor emerges for SCADUBINGO competitors: Omenveil.

🎮 How to Play

  • Download the attached zipfile: Athena.Randomizer.v0.14.0 zip
  • Unzip the folder to your location filesystem
  • Launch the Athena Randomizer v0.14.0 app
  • Choose your mode and enter a seed (or leave blank for a new seed to be generated)
  • Click “Randomize” → Wait → “Launch Elden Ring” (Steam must be running)

What to do if the game doesn't launch when clicking "Launch Elden Ring"

  • Open the folder where you extracted Athena Randomizer v0.14.0
  • Navigate to the folder: Resources\ModEngine-2.1.0.0-win64
  • Run one of the launch scripts manually:
    • launchmod_base.bat
    • launchmod_basedlc.bat
    • launchmod_dlc.bat
  • Windows Defender should ask if you want to run the file. Use (More Info -> Run Anyway)
  • The randomizer should now work when using the "Launch Elden Ring" button
