🔥 Athena Randomizer v0.5.0 — The Ignite Release

Athena no longer acts in shadows — her randomizations now guide champions in open competition.

This marks the first official release for the Ignite Discord community, home to the most competitive Tarnished in the Lands Between. With v0.5.0, the Athena Randomizer becomes the official mod used in all Ignite-hosted events, including:

  • 🛡️ Rookie Rumble — featuring the Base Game Randomizer
  • 🌌 SCADUBINGO — showcasing the DLC Randomizer

This version is also freely available for all players — whether you're racing friends, hosting events, or seeking the chaos of divine randomness in your own playthroughs.

🌿 Base Game Mode: Competitive Ready

Athena’s base game logic has matured into a structured battlefield designed for balanced competitive play, while preserving the joy of unpredictability.

⚔️ Weapon Class Logic

  • All weapons are randomized strictly within their own groups, with a few thoughtful merges:
    • Greatswords + Light Greatswords
    • Katanas + Great Katanas
    • Fists + Hand-to-Hand Arts
    • Claws + Beast Claws
    • Dueling Shields + Heavy Thrusting Swords

📦 Boss & Merchant Improvements

  • Tree Sentinel drops rebalanced for competitive fairness:
    • Sentinel 1 drops a randomized Greatshield
    • Sentinel Duo drops a randomized Halberd
  • All Base Game Remembrance bosses now guarantee 2 weapon checks
  • All merchants that regularly sell weapons can carry any non-Remembrance weapon

🌟 Starting Conditions

  • Improved stat calculations for starting class weapon requirements take into account any stat buffs from equipped armor
  • All maps unlocked at the start
  • Player begins with a lantern
  • All starting classes begin at level 9 with randomized stats
  • Any weapon (except Remembrance) can appear on a starting class
  • Astrologer always starts with a Glintstone Staff + random sorcery
  • Prophet always starts with a Finger Seal + random incantation

🧙 Spell Logic

  • All sorceries randomized together
  • All incantations randomized together

🪨 Game Balance Tweaks

  • Smithing stone cost reduced to 2 per upgrade level
  • Twin Maiden Husks now sell Outer God Heirloom (Arcane Talisman) for 5000 runes
  • Church of the Bloodrose has a new grace to expedite the Mohg questline

🌒 DLC Mode: SCADUBINGO Randomizer

Built for the SCADUBINGO competitive event, the DLC mode has evolved into a truly feature-rich, tournament-tested mod.

🎲 Starting Conditions

  • Players begin at Gravesite Hollow, a new enclosed grace
  • The grace is locked by a door that should be opened when the match begins
  • Player starts with:
    • 🪓 +0 Club
    • ✨ +25 Glintstone Staff
    • ✝️ +25 Finger Seal
    • 🔦 Lantern
    • 🌠 10 Starlight Shards
    • ⚒️ Whetstone Knife

🛍️ Starlight Shop — A New Meta Begins

  • A new starting merchant features a Starlight Shop:
    • Purchase +24 or +9 randomized weapons with Starlight Shards
    • Buy randomized Talismans and Physick Tears with shard costs
  • The shop also mimics Roundtable functionality:
    • Buy upgrade materials, whetblades, armor sets, and talismans using runes
    • Upgrade weapons or spirit ashes
    • Alter ashes of war for compatible weapons
    • Exchange remembrances for rewards
    • Enjoy randomized fashion with a curated armor set selection

🪨 Quality of Life

  • Smithing stone upgrades cost only 2 stones per level
  • Designed for fast-paced bingo routing and competitive exploration

The Athena Randomizer is now the official toolkit for all Elden Ring competitive events in the Ignite Discord server. Built with community feedback, tournament observation, and divine chaos, it is ready to serve both serious competitors and casual enjoyers alike.

🎮 How to Play

  1. 📦 Download and extract the latest release from the Releases page.
  2. 🚀 Launch the Athena Randomizer application. Ensure Steam is open first.
  3. 🎛️ Select your desired mode (Base Game / DLC).
  4. 🔢 Enter a seed or leave blank for a randomized one.
  5. 🌀 Click Randomize to prepare your game.
  6. 🕹️ Once the "Launch Elden Ring" button is clickable, start your randomized journey!

If you plan to play with others, make sure everyone uses the same seed and mode for a shared world.
