Apart from including too many bugfixes to mention (since release 1.1.0), 1.2.0 includes many new features, some of these being:
- New timeline mode allowing you to create animations / spritesheets with live preview
- State history now supports preserving undo/redo actions across multiple open documents
- Layer panel now shows thumbnail previews of layer contents
- Selection mechanism now allows merging and subtracting selections to/from each other
- Imported Photoshop documents now preserve editability of text layers
- Documents now support defining and persisting of custom color swatches, background colour and image export settings
- Blur filter added to layer effects panel
- Document creation window now comes with several presets, covering common defaults for both print and pixel art purposes
