First public release of SimpleCAD, a FreeCAD workbench for direct modeling in the spirit of SketchUp: draw on faces, push/pull them into solids and type exact sizes as you go. No sketches or feature tree.

Highlights

  • Draw, Push/Pull, Move, Copy, Round edges, Subdivide and more for everyday parts.
  • Make mesh editable turns an STL into editable CAD faces, fitting flat and curved regions as real surfaces.
  • Draw: Surface mode and a Surface toolbar for editing curved faces (work in progress).
  • Mesh tools to edit raw STL meshes directly.

This is an early version, so bug reports and feedback are very welcome.
