Paseo is an open-source, Apache-2.0 agentic development environment. It gives you one interface for Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode, Pi, Antigravity, and Muse Code — and lets you run them side by side in isolated worktrees from a single desktop, mobile, web, or CLI client.
Paseo is not a new coding agent. It is a workspace that wraps the agents you already use. You install your preferred agent CLIs, start the Paseo daemon on your machine, and then open the desktop app, mobile app, web app, or terminal to drive them. Agents run on your hardware with your credentials, your tools, and your skills.
Core features
Parallel agents: Run many agents at once, each in its own git worktree, and review their diffs independently.
Built-in orchestration: Agents can create worktrees, launch other agents, and message each other across providers.
Complete dev workflow: Edit files, review diffs, open pull requests, run terminals, and use a built-in browser in split panes.
Plugin system: Plugins run on the daemon and appear on every connected client (desktop, web, iOS, Android). Install from the registry with paseo plugin add owner/slug.
Voice control: Dictate tasks or talk through problems hands-free.
Cross-device: Native iOS and Android apps, plus desktop, web, and CLI. Start work at your desk and check in from your phone.
Privacy-first: No telemetry, no tracking, no forced log-ins.
Architecture
Paseo uses a local daemon that manages your agents and exposes a WebSocket API. Clients (desktop Electron app, Expo mobile app, web app, CLI) connect to the daemon. You can run the daemon on your laptop, a server, or inside Docker, and connect directly over TCP, Tailscale, or through an optional end-to-end encrypted relay.
Paseo currently supports: Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode, Pi, Antigravity, and Muse Code. You pick the right agent for each job, or run several against the same task and compare results.
Quick start
Install the CLI and start the daemon:
npm install -g @getpaseo/cli
paseo
Download the desktop app from paseo.sh/download. To pair your phone, open Settings → your host → Pair Device.
Subagent delegation: plan with Claude, hand off implementation to Codex.
Parallel exploration: run multiple agents on the same bug or feature from different angles.
Mobile oversight: start a long agent run at your desk, check status and approve steps from your phone.
Hands-free coding: use voice mode to spin up agents while doing other work.
Pricing and license
Paseo is Apache-2.0 licensed and free to use. It is an independent project funded by GitHub Sponsors and company sponsorships. You bring your own agent accounts and model API keys.
