Hellward in 3D: the first release of the Godot client over the Python rules server.

Defend twelve sanctuaries in two acts, from burning Tristram through Hell's Gate to the Temple of Light. The demons' leaders read the fight: before each curse a leader plays the battle ahead, again and again, and lays the curse where it hurts your defence most. Break their chants with Smite or the Frozen Orb, or Cleanse a cursed tower.

  • The whole campaign: title, profiles, the painted world maps of both acts, each location's intro, the skill tree, the tower forge, the story pages and the prologue comic, the Chronicle, the reckoning.
  • Every location with its own scenery; Fallen, Shamans, Zombies and Skeletons with new models; the later monsters and three tower families still wear stand-in bodies borrowed from others.
  • Single player; saves in ~/.hellward (Windows: %USERPROFILE%\.hellward). No account, no internet.

Downloads: Hellward-0.2.0-darwin-arm64-app.zip (Apple Silicon, macOS 14+; ad-hoc signed, not notarized: move it to Applications, then System Settings > Privacy & Security > Open Anyway) and Hellward-0.2.0-windows-x64-portable.zip (unsigned; extract and run Hellward.exe; "More info > Run anyway" if SmartScreen asks).

Each package was checked before upload: its bundled server, started from a read-only copy, plays a Tristram defence to its end with the compiled rules, and the packaged game itself starts that server. The Windows build also passed the server's and the client's test suites on Windows.
