Homebridge V2 readiness?

I looked at the 2.0 page and this plugin wasn't listed as having known issues but there were some breaking changes. 2.0 is still in beta so I am not worried about it yet. But my questions

Does the plugin code need to change to support HB 2.0 and is anyone working on it?

What alternatives are people looking into at this point? I like the idea of upgrading to 2.0, but I don't see any alternative to this plugin at the moment. It seems dead.

@sil3n7h I looked over the code and it does appear the plugin is written correctly for v2. I intend to test it when v2 is GA. In my opinion if anything is needed, it will be minor. Possibly some deprecated APIs that will still work for a time in V2 revolving around platform accessories. Can confirm this plugin works under Homebridge v2 GA (v2.2.1, homebridge-smartthings-ik v1.5.21). Upgraded a production Homebridge instance from 1.11.4 to 2.2.1 today and this plugin loaded and ran without any errors, warnings, or Node-version compatibility issues — no code changes needed on the plugin side.

The only errors I'm seeing are unrelated poll timeouts talking to the SmartThings cloud API (read ETIMEDOUT) for a few devices, which looks like it's on SmartThings' side rather than anything to do with this plugin or the Homebridge 2.0 upgrade.

Correction/clarification to my comment above: I should be more precise about what I actually verified.

Confirmed: the plugin loads without errors under Homebridge 2.2.1 — no crashes, no deprecated-API failures, no Node-version compatibility warnings. It registers its platform and restores cached accessories cleanly. So the "does this need code changes for the v2 API surface" question does appear to be answered: no.

Not confirmed: I can't vouch for live device control working end-to-end. My own instance is currently seeing heavy poll timeouts (read ETIMEDOUT) against the SmartThings cloud API for all devices on this platform, but I believe that's an issue on the SmartThings/hub side unrelated to this plugin or the Homebridge 2.0 upgrade specifically (started before I touched Homebridge core). Wanted to correct the record rather than overstate "it works" when what I actually verified is narrower: no plugin-level incompatibility with Homebridge 2.0's API.
