@ildrm ildrm released this 13 Oct 07:07

WooCommerce Invoice Printer 1.4.5

Release prepared 13 October 2026.

  • Remove the automatic WordPress administrator-email fallback. Store email is hidden by default and uses only the business email configured in General. Store email and Customer email have independent visibility switches under Templates.
  • Show a labeled payment gateway title and saved gateway ID, for example Credit card (stripe). The Templates switch can hide it, independently of the totals breakdown. Missing titles fall back to the gateway ID; missing payment details omit the line. Existing saved show/hide preferences remain effective.
  • Prevent hidden payment-method totals from reappearing through the legacy totals fallback.
  • Use bundled PDF fonts when another plugin loads mPDF configuration first, including Persian compact/thermal invoices and multiple-copy PDF bundles.
  • Split sample-data construction into small methods to avoid a reproducible PHP 7.4 OPcache optimizer crash on repeated sample previews.
  • Keep a direct Print/Preview recovery link when a new tab is blocked or closed.
  • Roll back failed browser print batches; invalidate unconfirmed remnants on older nontransactional tables while preserving concurrent confirmations/cancellations.
  • Tolerate malformed billing-address data and optional payment-presentation failures. Automatic payment eligibility stays strict.
  • Add safe WooCommerce failure diagnostics and translated error guidance. Compile all 14 bundled locale catalogs, including the new gateway label and email guidance.
  • Verify production dependencies and platform requirements during packaging, including reused vendor directories; support Windows Composer launchers.

After upgrading

Upload the complete wc-invoice-printer-1.4.5.zip through WordPress Plugins and replace the existing plugin. Under WooCommerce → Invoice Printer → Templates, clear Store email to hide a previously enabled address. Clear Customer email if it should also be hidden. Enable Payment gateway to display the payment title and gateway ID, then save. Gateway display is enabled when no preference exists; explicitly saved choices are preserved. A previously saved business email remains editable under General.

Plugin version is 1.4.5. Database schema remains 1.4.3, capabilities remain 1.4.0, and provider-retirement migration remains 1.3.0. The 1.4.4 developer DOCX editions remain applicable with this supplement.

See the review and verification record for executed checks. Automated and disposable-site checks verify generated output and request handling; physical printer/driver behavior still requires a test print on the installation’s printer.

v1.4.4

@ildrm ildrm released this 12 Oct 11:51

WooCommerce Invoice Printer — Version 1.4.4

This release adds configurable invoice content, typography and paper layout controls.

  • Shipping-only customer details by default: Customer names, roles, email addresses, billing addresses and store addresses are hidden.
  • Flexible field visibility: Enable or disable optional business, customer, order, item and footer information.
  • Font controls: Choose Sans, Serif or Monospace fonts, with sizes from 6–16 pt.
  • Compact layout: Reduce spacing between sections and item rows.
  • Single-sheet printing: Optional PDF fitting keeps all enabled information on one page. Invoices exceeding the supported limits report an error instead of losing content.
  • Thermal paper sizing: Optional content-length pages end near the last invoice information. Cutting remains controlled by supported printer drivers.
  • Printing fixes: Improved PDF memory handling, browser previews and CUPS banner suppression.
  • Documentation and translations: Updated operator documentation, all 14 translation catalogs and 14 localized development guides.

Existing saved display preferences are preserved. Compact layout, single-sheet fitting and thermal content-height options are disabled by default; configure them under WooCommerce → Invoice Printer → Templates.

v1.4.3

@ildrm ildrm released this 12 Oct 07:45

WooCommerce Invoice Printer 1.4.3

Maintenance release containing all improvements since version 1.4.0.

  • Fixed database installation failures caused by oversized queue indexes.
  • Fixed upgrades where an existing full-width index blocked expansion of the printer-name column.
  • Added bounded queue indexes and explicit InnoDB selection for new job tables while preserving complete printer identifiers and exact routing.
  • Improved activation errors to identify the affected table and failing database operation.
  • Stopped queued CUPS automatic jobs when automation is disabled, including changes during PDF generation.
  • Prevented CUPS and local-agent jobs from printing orders moved to trash or checkout draft after enqueueing.
  • Fixed scheduled print/export cleanup during deactivation and uninstall, including migration-marker removal when data deletion is enabled.
  • Corrected recipient phone mapping and respected phone visibility settings.
  • Updated diagnostics to check readiness for the selected automatic printing destination.

Upgrading: Replace the existing plugin with the final 1.4.3 ZIP and activate it. Database upgrades run automatically while preserving settings, printer identifiers and existing job history.

Validation: All 340 PHP tests passed. The packaged plugin passed fresh installation, populated MyISAM upgrade, exact printer-routing and PDF-generation checks.
