Fixer 0.2.1 — Titlebar Controls Fix
Fixer 0.2.1 is a focused patch for the compact macOS titlebar introduced in
0.2.0.
Fixed
- The toolbar + menu responds to normal mouse clicks again.
- The Setup button responds to normal mouse clicks again.
- Action and Dictation masthead controls remain interactive while the empty
titlebar areas can still be used to drag the window.
The Gemini Dictation, {voice} Actions, compact workspace, and privacy model
from 0.2.0 are unchanged.
Updating
Quit Fixer, replace the existing app with this Fixer.app, and launch it.
Existing Actions, Shortcuts, Dictation settings, and the Gemini key are
preserved. macOS may ask for Accessibility permission again after replacing an
ad-hoc signed build.
Requirements
- macOS 13 Ventura or later
- Apple Silicon or Intel Mac
- A personal Gemini API key and internet connection
- Accessibility permission
- Microphone permission for voice features only
Installation note
This build is ad-hoc signed and not notarized. First Control-click Fixer.app
and choose Open. If macOS still blocks it, use System Settings → Privacy &
Security → Open Anyway. Do not disable Gatekeeper globally.
If Finder specifically reports that the app is damaged, verify
SHA256SUMS.txt from this release and only then remove quarantine from this app:
shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS.txt
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Fixer.app"See the roadmap
for planned additional API providers, local models, and a Quick Insert library
