Welcome to the hydroqc wiki!
Many thanks to mdallaire, the author of the hydroqc add-on for Home Assistant hydroqc.
The home assistant tools are as follows:
- SQLite query to retrieve hourly historical data from Home Assistant that was downloaded with the hydroqc addon.
- You must have the hydroqc addon installed in Home Assistant.
- Your database should be SQLite, this is the default database when Home Assistant is installed via Raspberry Pi Imager.
- SQLite queries (3 of them) to calculate Average Anchor Consumption, Average Peak Consumption and Average Critical Peak Consumption.
- These queries can be used in Home Assistant to create SQL sensors that update in real time.
- Instructions below.
- A package add-on for any ESPHome device that has either whole house energy tracking or, minimally, main heating energy tracking sensors.
- You need minimally an ESPHome device you have control over.
- This device must have either current transformers or connect to some energy monitoring system for your home, fully or partially.
- The package will automatically determine the optimum Critical Anchor for maximum energy savings and maximum HQ WCO credits.
- An additional optional example of Home Assistant automation shows how this package can manage energy consumption during peak critical events.
- Instructions below
- A spreadsheet to calculate and validate Hydro Quebec Winter Option credit dollars.
