This PR introduces Laravel’s first-party image manipulation API through a new Illuminate\Image component, backed by Intervention Image and supporting GD / Imagick drivers. Images may be read from uploads, storage disks, paths, URLs, bytes, or Base64 strings, then fluently transformed through an ordered pipeline with operations such as resize, scale, cover, contain, crop, rotate, orient, blur, grayscale, sharpen, and flipping.
The API also supports format conversion, quality control, optimization, inspection of processed image metadata, and convenient filesystem storage methods. Image drivers are managed through Laravel’s standard manager pattern, allowing applications to select drivers per image, configure a default driver, register custom drivers, and provide custom transformation handlers.
