Release list
v0.1.10
What's new
- Persistent room orchestration:
buddies orchestratorcoordinates goals, assignment ownership, dependencies and revisions. Specialists retain Codex threads and work in isolated git worktrees; acceptance checks gate integration and publication. State, budgets and evidence persist across restart, with explicit recovery for uncertain interrupted work. - Durable conversations: addressed questions, answers, updates and receipt states survive service restarts.
buddies agentretains a managed Codex conversation and supports steering related active work;buddies channelbridges the shared service into Claude Code Channels. - Automatic Codex workers:
buddies workerexecutes delegated tasks in separate threads, with durable queues, exclusive claims, leases and result journals. Background tasks expose their outcome throughget_task_status. - Documentation and branding: a new logo, refreshed README and a searchable VitePress site. AI agents can read
llms.txt, the complete Markdown bundle or individual Markdown pages. GitHub Pages deployment is automated.
Get started
Download a Linux x86_64 or ARM64 binary below. Rust 1.91 or newer is required when building from source.
Installation and MCP setup · Collaboration · Orchestrator · Documentation for AI agents
Starting the ordinary buddies MCP service starts no model. Codex runtimes are opt-in and require Codex installed and signed in; Claude Channels require activation in the client. Addressed conversations, local workers and orchestration route through one shared HTTP service. P2P rooms retain their knowledge-sharing and delegation path.
Interrupted tasks may already have changed files. Inspect their effects and follow the documented recovery procedure before repeating work.
Validation
The Rust suite, clippy, Rust 1.91 compatibility check and all six deterministic smoke tests pass. Orchestrator and collaboration scenarios exercise real service processes with a simulated App Server; a real-model orchestrator comparison has not been performed. The documentation build and agent exports were verified, including 38 public URLs.
