Summary
MediaThèque (or "MediaBrary") is a WordPress plugin bringing a complementary "User specific" Media Library to the WordPress native shared Media Library.
The WordPress Media Library gives publishers (Admins, Editors and Authors) a tool to attach public media to their content.
MediaThèque powers all contributors (no matter their roles) with a new personal Library to share public or private media with visitors or logged in users.
This personal library can also be used to attach the uploaded items to the content of their choice, just like any WordPress attachment.
In their personal MediaThèque (or "MediaBrary"), contributors can organise their media thanks to folders. Adding media to a folder can be achieved by simply dragging and dropping a media item into an existing folder or by directly uploading new media within a displayed folder.
The plugin comes with an optional local avatar management. From their profile page, contributors will be able to choose one of their personal media to use as their avatar.

Administrators can adapt their MediaThèque settings. They can choose the required role to be able to enjoy the MediaThèque, the file extensions allowed for uploads and whether the local avatar management should be active or not.
