iOS Upload timeout after exactly 5 minutes #27222

Description

@Joannou1

I have searched the existing issues, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate report.

  • Yes

The bug

My device is trying to upload 3 large files simultaneously.
I'm connected directly to the IP and bypassing any Nginx proxies.
After exactly 5 minutes, all 3 files fail with the following message:

NSErrorClientException: The request timed out. [domain=NSURLErrorDomain, code=-1001], uri=http://10.10.0.90:2283/api/assets

Image

I've tried restarting my device and reinstalling the app.
I'm unable to replicate on other devices because it uploads too quickly. My upload speed on mobile seems to be locked at 10MB/s x 3.

Reproduction steps

  1. Have a large video file. Mine was 7GB.
  2. Backup and wait.
  3. If the upload has not finished after exactly 5 minutes, it will fail.
  4. Occurs regardless of direct IP or nginx proxy.

Additional information

I did modify the docker compose to use a custom network and so I could set a static IP for the service.
