Orbit Pi 0.2.6
Added
- The live Working for… line now shows the streaming output rate — e.g.
Working for 12s · 42 tok/s. The rate is generation-only: output
tokens over the time the model was actively decoding, so tool execution,
round-trips, and provider stalls don't drag it down. Tokens come from the
provider's cumulativeusage.outputwhen reported, with achars/4
estimate otherwise; the client-measured decode window carries through to
the settled footer, where the↑in ↓out · $costmetric also shows the
rate and the hover breakdown gains a Rate row.
Fixed
- The cache hit rate no longer reads 100% for a session that wrote cache.
pi normalizes the token buckets as disjoint, so the denominator now
includes cache-write tokens —cache reads / (reads + uncached input + writes)— instead of only reads and uncached input. A share below the
whole is also withheld from rounding up to a displayed100%(it shows
99.9%), and cache rates now render to one decimal.
Installing on macOS
This release's macOS app is not notarized by Apple, so Gatekeeper may
block the first launch. After dragging Orbit Pi to Applications,
clear the quarantine flag:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Orbit Pi.app"Or right-click Orbit Pi in Applications → Open → Open to
approve it once; later launches work normally.
