The Wake-on-Lan PowerShell Scripts Creator is a tool designed to simplify the process of generating Wake-On-LAN (WOL) scripts or executables for remotely waking up individual computers within a network. Instead of directly sending magic packets, this script facilitates the creation of customizable scripts or executables. These generated files, when executed, automatically dispatch the magic packets, awakening the specified computers.
This tool is particularly useful in scenarios where it's necessary to grant remote wake-up capabilities to less experienced Windows users. By placing the generated script or executable on their desktop, users can effortlessly wake up designated hosts by simply double-clicking on the file.
Prerequisites
- PowerShell 5.1 or higher (for the creation of the wake scripts)
- PowerShell 3.0 or higher (for the execution of the generated scripts)
- PS2EXE module (optional, for creating executables)
Usage
- Run the executable.
- Follow the prompts to input the target PC names or IP addresses.
- The script will generate scripts or executables for waking up a single specified computer in a folder inside the path where the executable is run from.
